Celebrating its 25th year since a small group of window cleaners founded the International Window Cleaning Association in 1989, the annual convention and trade show convened at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee, February 12-15. Although the rhythm and enthusiasm was upbeat, the number of attendees and exhibitor personnel was down some compared to last year's conclave at St. Pete Beach, Florida, which drew one of the largest crowds in years. That event attracted 433 people including 341 window cleaners and 92 exhibitor personnel. Memphis attracted 377 including 285 window cleaners and 92 exhibitor personnel.(...)

It should come as no surprise to anyone that many professional window cleaners are facing constantly rising business insurance premiums. After several years of steady rates, insurers have apparently begun raising insurance premiums while reducing available insurance coverage.
